Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Purchase and Logistics Executive to join our team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement and logistics management of electrical items required for SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning) of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of electrical components, equipment, and materials for commercial SITC projects
• Coordinate with project teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines
• Source and evaluate suppliers for electrical items including cables, switchgear, lighting fixtures, control panels, and other electrical components
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and OE suppliers
• Maintain and develop relationships with local electrical equipment suppliers and distributors in Bangalore.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites while maintaining quality standards
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams
• Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supply chain issues
• Maintain accurate records in MS Excel and procurement systems
• Coordinate logistics for transportation and delivery of electrical equipment to multiple project sites
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

Essential Requirements

Experience & Background

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchase/procurement roles specifically in Bangalore market
• Mandatory experience in electrical equipment procurement for commercial projects
• Proven track record in SITC projects or similar electrical installation projects
• Strong network of local electrical equipment vendors and OE suppliers in Bangalore

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of electrical components, equipment specifications, and industry standards
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Understanding of electrical project timelines and material planning

Language & Communication

• Working knowledge of Kannada - able to communicate effectively with local vendors and suppliers
• Excellent English communication skills - both verbal and written
• Strong presentation and reporting abilities
• Ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to vendors

• Bachelor's degree /Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement
• Experience with government/public sector electrical projects
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
• Familiarity with tender processes and documentation

Location Requirements

• Must have extensive knowledge of local market
• Established network with Bangalore-based electrical equipment suppliers, distributors, and OE representatives
• Should have a 2-wheeler for local travel

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Director-Finance and works closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and the Finance team.
