Job Description:

Position Summary

This position reports to the Financial Systems Manager and is responsible for key tasks related to divisional financial systems testing, integration, support and reporting. This role will provide support to the Financial Systems Team, the Accounting Center and Divisional Finance and Operations teams.

Essential Functions

  • Perform all tasks related to the testing and conversion of accounting data from the branch agency management system to central divisional systems including data analysis and reconciliation of converted data.
  • Perform all duties related to testing and implementation of agency management system upgrades and production maintenance.
  • Support all agency management system accounting processes and users with production issues. Maintain organization of production support issues and prioritization.
  • Work with internal and external development teams to test, implement and resolve production issues and new functionality.
  • Develop and coordinate training and communication to finance and accounting users on new Epic functionality and reports.
  • Perform testing and maintain finance and accounting reports in agency management systems and ancillary reporting systems.
  • Develop and maintain accounting system procedures and testing documentation.
  • Maintain organization of all electronic files for the accounting center as directed.
  • Assist members of Financial Systems team with various projects, audits and duties as assigned.

Review Experience (DM US/UK Accounting):

  • Review of General Ledger (GL), AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, and Payroll entries.
  • Reviewing Month-End & Year-End Closing deliverables.
  • Review of Journal Entries, Accruals, Prepaid Schedules, Fixed Asset Registers.
  • Review of Accounts Finalization for US/UK entities.
  • Reviewing Balance Sheet & P&L with variance analysis.
  • Review of Financial Statements as per US GAAP / UK GAAP.

Team Management Experience For DM US/UK Accounting:

  • Managing a team of Accountants / Senior Associates handling US/UK accounting.
  • Daily monitoring of team productivity and accuracy.
  • Conducting review sessions, training, and quality audits for team members.
  • Allocating tasks and ensuring workload balance across the team.
  • Supporting team members in resolving complex accounting issues.
  • Conducting weekly/monthly performance reviews & sharing feedback.
  • Mentoring and upskilling the team on GAAP, updated accounting standards, tools etc.
  • Driving process improvements and standardization across teams.
  • Managing escalations and ensuring smooth communication between team and clients.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of all client tasks with zero misses.
  • Coordinating with internal departments (tax, payroll, audit) for cross-team activities.
  • Setting up SOPs and process workflow improvements for the accounting team.
  • Recruitment involvement if needed (hiring accountants / seniors).
