Summary of Job description

• Interface with component teams to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve cost competitiveness or supply constraints specially for Casting CI , Investment casting  Plastic & Rubber , Machined items , Brass Item  

• New source evaluation and selection: - Evaluation and right selection of vendors based on various parameters as per the company norms.

• Experience in product development by reverse engineering.

• Capable to manage interaction of design engineers and should be result oriented to ensure the timely rollout of new products.

• Technical specification review with CFT for new development.

• RFI & RFQ management

• Process design finalization for Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping within targeted PPM level.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, engineering practices, and relevant standards like DFMEA (Design failure mode and effect analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Measurement System Analysis Studies, PPAP.

• Monitor NPD activities to ensure timeline & First time right development

• Participate in reduction activities through value engineering.

Qualification and experience

BE (Mechanical) with 5 to 10 Years of relevant experience.

Knowledge / skills required

• Costing of commodities like Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping.

• Knowledge of Engineering and manufacturing processes of Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping.

• Knowledge of Process Tools, Jigs & Fixtures is essential
