Role Overview:

The Junior Steward supports the Stewarding team by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils. The role focuses on learning and assisting with daily stewarding operations, ensuring high levels of hygiene and supporting the smooth running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, cutlery, glasses, and other utensils.
• Ensure that all equipment is stored properly in designated areas after cleaning.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with inventory checks and report any damaged or missing items.
• Support senior stewards in setting up and closing the kitchen area.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules, including daily, weekly, and periodic deep cleaning tasks.
• Assist with the proper disposal of waste in accordance with environmental standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism while interacting with all team members.

Qualifications:

• Basic experience in kitchen or hospitality work (preferred but not mandatory).
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
