Job Description:

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all scaffolding activities at site.
• Review scaffold requirements based on work permits, job cards and site conditions.
• Ensure scaffolds are erected, modified and dismantled as per approved drawings & method statements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA / BS / EN / IS standards related to scaffolding.
• Conduct inspection of scaffold materials before use (tubes, couplers, boards, tags).
• Issue scaffold tagging (Green / Yellow / Red tags) and maintain proper scaffold register.
• Ensure safe access and working platforms are provided as per job requirement.
• Monitor scaffold crew manpower and allocate work as per priority schedule.
• Ensure scaffolding is safe for operations like welding, mechanical work, painting, insulation, etc.
• Coordinate with Construction, Safety & Maintenance teams for scaffold requirements.
• Ensure proper fall protection measures, PPE usage and barricading at work area.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for scaffold team.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses & implement corrective actions.
• Maintain daily progress records and submit reports to site engineer / supervisor.
