1.1.1 About the Role

The Senior DC Systems Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and integration of DC electrical systems for utility-scale solar PV projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, coordination across engineering disciplines, and the ability to review and express complex design concepts clearly.

Reports To: Practice Lead – Renewable Energy

1.1.2 Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering

  • Lead design of DC collection systems, string configurations, and PV array layouts.
  • Review and validate design deliverables including SLDs, layouts, BoQs, and design reports.
  • Perform DC system loss analysis, voltage drop, and performance modeling using PVsyst.
  • Develop DC protection, monitoring, and grounding schemes in compliance with IEC/IS/NEC standards.
  • Coordinate DC–AC interface points with AC System Integration and Substation teams.

Project Delivery

  • Oversee quality assurance for design outputs and ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Support site teams during testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and vendor evaluations.

Collaboration & Support

  • Engage with module, inverter, and BOS vendors to evaluate techno-commercial aspects.
  • Contribute to standardization of templates, tools, and engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated system design.

1.1.3 Candidate Profile

Education: BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering;

Experience: 8–10 years in DC system design for utility-scale solar PV plants.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Excel; strong understanding of IEC/IS/NEC standards.

Other Skills: Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills; ability to present and communicate design outcomes effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹255, ₹792,863.29 per year
