Job Overview

Senior Interior Designer (Fit-Out)

  • Lead interior design concepts and space planning for fit-out projects.

  • Manage the design process from start to finish: concept, design development, detailed drawings, and site coordination.

  • Prepare mood boards, material specifications, and BOQs that match project budgets.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to make sure the design is carried out correctly.

  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups.

  • Conduct site inspections and solve design-related problems during construction.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and project standards.

  • Mentor and guide junior designers and CAD/3D teams.

  • Deliver high-quality presentations and design reports to clients.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong skills in conceptual design and creative visualization.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and joinery details.

  • Expertise in fit-out standards, technical drawings, and construction detail.

  • Strong project management and coordination skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills for client interactions.

  • Ability to lead design reviews, value engineering, and tackle site challenges.

  • Familiarity with local building codes, fire and safety standards, and authority approvals (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc. for UAE / BBMP, BDA, NBC for India).

  • Leadership and team management skills, along with mentoring ability.

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills under tight deadlines.
