We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Business Analyst with experience in IT asset discovery tools. The candidate will play a key role in supporting the configuration, optimization, and business alignment including CMDB population, asset mapping, and data quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business and technical requirements related to IT asset discovery and configuration management.

Collaborate with IT infrastructure, operations, and application teams to ensure accurate discovery and service mapping

Configure, monitor, and validate the output of scans, including troubleshooting inaccuracies or gaps in CI data.

Perform data validation, cleansing, and normalization to maintain CMDB accuracy and integrity.

Develop and maintain process documentation, including workflows, technical specifications, BRDs, and FRDs.

Assist in integrating with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira.

Support audits and compliance initiatives by ensuring accurate discovery and asset lifecycle tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or Asset Management.

Hands-on experience with Virima Discovery (preferred) or similar tools like ServiceNow Discovery, BMC Discovery, Lansweeper, etc.

Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components: servers, networks, databases, operating systems, and cloud services.

Familiarity with CMDB, ITAM, and service dependency mapping.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) for discovery data validation.

Working knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., SNMP, WMI, SSH, API integrations).

Strong documentation and communication skills to translate technical data for non-technical stakeholders.

ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).

Nice to Have:

Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

Experience integrating discovery data with ServiceNow CMDB.

Exposure to compliance, audit, or regulatory reporting environments.
