As a Backend Engineer specializing in the Market Making team, you will play a key role in building and enhancing systems that power critical insights, pricing tools, and risk management capabilities for a rapidly growing trading environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, efficient, and reliable backend solutions that support complex financial products and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize backend systems to support market making and risk management for complex financial instruments.
  • Collaborate with the team to build scalable infrastructure for pricing models and data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain fundamental models supporting the core business verticals.
  • Work closely with design, product, and trading teams to align backend systems with user and market needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact technical challenges across distributed systems.
  • Contribute to innovative projects such as correlation exotics, volatility pricing, and data-driven optimization solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability through robust design and testing practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, along with experience in a low-level language (e.g., Rust, C++, or Golang).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
  • Solid understanding of derivative products, risk management frameworks, and financial modeling concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
