Company Introduction The Company is a French startup focused on developing drone-based solutions for early forest fire detection. Its mission is to leverage the latest technology to help in preventing devastating wildfires, protect people and ecosystems and reduce significantly greenhouse gas emissions.
Responsibilities - Evaluate and select the most appropriate technology stack and tools for the development of a web application, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance. - Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GIS technologies, web mapping solutions, and related frameworks. - Develop and implement a state-of-the-art web app application receiving AI detecting forest fires from images sent by drones using technologies such as Mapbox GL JS, React, Redux, Typescript, GI, and web mapping solutions. - Leverage expertise in JavaScript, SQL to design innovative features for the wildfire monitoring web app. - Implement features requiring saving pictures/videos, very often updating, text writing, maps layering, images overlays, maps management, points of interest, and areas displaying from GPS coordinates - Utilize technologies like Heroku, , and OpenCV to enhance the web application's performance and capabilities. - Allow the Web app to be in several languages
Qualifications ● Proven experience in Full-stack WebGIS development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects in this domain – required. ● Experience in React, TypeScript, cartographic APIs (ex. ArcGIS, OpenLayers, Google Maps API) – required ● Experience in developing applications involving maps management in JavaScript and computer vision – required ● Experience in an application involving points and areas referencing on maps – required ● Experience in developing software addressing aeronautic and/or defense industries – preferred ● Familiarity with Leaflet & OSM, Deck GL, and GIS technologies such as GDAL, OGR, QGIS, Esri, and Carto – preferred
