Job Description AWS Neptune / Graph DB Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in AWS Neptune, Graph Databases (Neo4J/Graph DB), and Snowflake to design, implement, and optimize data integration and transformation pipelines. The candidate will collaborate with platform teams to model, extract, and transform data into graph structures, ensuring scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and select data sources, tables, and relationships between entities in Snowflake.
- Establish secure connections between Snowflake and AWS Neptune via AWS services, with staging in AWS S3.
- Collaborate with platform teams to design and implement data extraction processes.
- Transform extracted data into graph models before loading into AWS Neptune.
- Analyze data relationships and entity mappings to define graph schema.
- Design nodes, edges, and properties for the graph schema and implement in AWS Neptune.
- Create indexes to improve query performance.
- Review and refine schema design based on query patterns and performance.
- Define transformation logic using DBT and build DBT models.
- Schedule and automate ELT pipelines using DBT and Snowflake.
Essential Skills
- AWS Neptune Database & AWS Neptune Analytics
- Graph Databases (AWS Neptune, Neo4J, or similar)
- Snowflake (data modeling, extraction, and transformation)
- AWS Services (S3, Cloud stack for secure integration)
- DBT (Data Build Tool) ELT pipeline automation and transformation
- Schema design, optimization, and query performance tuning
Additional Notes
- Rate flexibility is provided strong candidate profiles are expected.
- Candidate must be available for screening calls (to be documented in evaluation sheet).
- Supplier must include comments on notice period, last working day, relocation, and offers in hand.
