Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections, and skin cancer.
- Perform medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological procedures (e.g., biopsies, cryotherapy, laser treatments).
- Provide personalized care and treatment plans for patients with skin, hair, and nail disorders.
- Advise patients on preventive skin care, hygiene, and the management of chronic dermatological conditions.
- Clinical Duties:
- Conduct thorough consultations and assessments, taking patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, biopsies, and imaging studies related to dermatological conditions.
- Manage and monitor long-term treatments and follow-up care for dermatology patients.
- Keep detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Surgical and Cosmetic Procedures:
- Perform minor surgical procedures, including excisions, mole removals, and skin biopsies.
- Offer cosmetic dermatology services such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and laser therapy.
- Assist in the development of patient-centric cosmetic treatment plans.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other healthcare providers, including general practitioners, plastic surgeons, and pediatricians, to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of treatment protocols and best practices.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Adhere to NABH standards of care and ensure patient safety at all times.
- Participate in regular clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education (CME) activities.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, health and safety guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Patient Education and Community Outreach:
- Educate patients on dermatological health, proper skincare, sun safety, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in health awareness campaigns, seminars, and workshops aimed at educating the public about skin diseases and preventive care.
- Research and Innovation (Optional):
- Stay updated on the latest developments in dermatology and new treatment methods.
- Participate in clinical research projects or contribute to medical publications in dermatology.
