About the Role

We are seeking a data analyst for a
6-month paid internship
focused on analysing real-world stock market data and financial datasets, contributing to data-driven insights, and gaining hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scripts to process, clean, and analyse financial datasets.
  • Create visualizations and reports to summarize financial trends and patterns.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify key metrics and insights from financial data.
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Document processes and findings for internal use.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in
    Python
    or
    R
    (experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, or Tidyverse is a plus).
  • Familiarity with financial data concepts (e.g., stocks, market trends, or economic indicators).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of statistics and familiarity with use of statistical tools, statistical modelling or machine learning techniques.
  • Current enrolment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
