We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Product Manager – AI Transformation to bridge the gap between business processes and AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across commodities trading, hedge fund operations, quantitative finance, and potentially shipping/logistics to translate complex business challenges into scalable AI products. You will work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to define, design, and deliver impactful AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and end-users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements across commodities, finance, and related domains.
• Assess existing workflows, data sources, and systems (including ERPs) to identify high-value data for AI and machine learning models.
• Convert complex business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications, including user stories, process flows, and data models.
• Serve as a domain expert on business processes, data dependencies, and system capabilities within commodities, trading, and financial operations.
• Collaborate with AI and data science teams to define model data requirements, validate outputs, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the product lifecycle — from design and development to testing (UAT) and successful implementation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Stay informed on emerging AI technologies, LLM advancements, and industry best practices.
• Manage stakeholder communication, expectations, and progress reporting effectively across business and technical teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on technology or AI-driven projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), system architecture, and integration principles.
• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and design innovative, data-driven solutions.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and driving clarity in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Must be based in or open to relocating to Navi Mumbai.

Must-Have Skills:

• Figma for product design and workflow visualization.
• Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG pipelines, and the latest LLM models.
• Strong grasp of Project Management and SDLC principles.
• Familiarity with financial markets and commodities (preferred).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics projects.
• Exposure to one or more of the following areas:
  • Commodities Trading (Physicals, Energy, Metals, Softs)
  • Commodity Futures & Options
  • Hedge Funds / Asset Management
  • Quantitative Finance / Trading
  • Trade Finance or Operations
  • Shipping / Logistics
• Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, or ETRM/CTRM systems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Python) and BI platforms is an added advantage.
