Guest Service Greet and welcome guests politely
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus
- Be knowledgeable about menu, ingredients, specials, dietary restrictions
- Take orders (or oversee) and relay them correctly to kitchen
- Monitor the flow of service, ensure courses are served in timely fashion
- Check guest satisfaction during courses
- Present the final bill, process payments
- Handle guest complaints tactfully and resolve issuesTeam Supervision & Training Assign sections / tables to wait staff
- Coach, mentor, and train junior servers and staff
- Monitor staff performance, correct deviations from standards
- Conduct pre‐shift briefings on specials, service notes
- Motivate and maintain team moraleCoordination & Communication Liaise between kitchen, bar, and service staff
- Communicate special orders, dietary restrictions, timing
- Ensure smooth flow of orders and minimize delays
- Report issues (out of stock, delays, guest feedback) upwardOperations & Standards Ensure dining area is clean, organized, and set properly (linen, cutlery, glassware)
- Monitor that staff follow service standards and SOPs
- Oversee closing tasks: clearing, restocking, setup for next shift
- Assist with inventory of service items (napery, glassware, cutlery)
- Assist in cost control efforts and wastage reduction
- Follow health, safety, hygiene, and licensing policiesMiscellaneous / Administrative Maintain records: guest feedback, daily sales, shift reports
- Work with manager for staffing rosters, shift scheduling
- Propose improvements to service, menu, guest experience
- Occasionally stand in as floor manager / in charge during manager absence
