Job Title : Sea Export Operations & Pricing – Mumbai

Position: Sea Export Operations & Pricing Executive / Manager

Experience Required: Minimum 7+ Years

Location: Mumbai

Industry: Shipping, Logistics & Freight Forwarding

Key Responsibilities

1. Sea Export Operations

  • Handle end-to-end sea export operations (FCL/LCL).
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, co-loaders, transporters, and customers for smooth cargo movement.
  • Prepare, verify, and manage export documentation including BL drafts, SI, invoices, packing lists, VGM, and export declarations.
  • Ensure timely container booking, vessel planning, and cargo cut-off adherence.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, port procedures, and international trade requirements.
  • Manage coordination with CHA for documentation and customs clearance.
  • Handle pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation activities.

2. Pricing & Rate Negotiation

  • Source and negotiate competitive Ocean Freight rates with shipping lines and NVOCCs.
  • Provide timely and accurate quotes to customers and the sales team.
  • Analyse market trends, freight fluctuations, and competitor pricing.
  • Maintain updated tariff sheets, freight contracts, and rate databases.
  • Collaborate with the sales team for key account pricing and spot rate management.

3. Customer Service

  • Provide excellent support and communication to customers on shipment status.
  • Resolve operational issues, delays, or disputes efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.

4. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare MIS reports related to shipments, rates, and vendor performance.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, finance, and documentation teams.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and timely closure of jobs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Sea Export Operations and Pricing in shipping/logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of FCL/LCL processes, Incoterms, ocean freight, and export compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and multitask effectively.
