Senior QS/Planning Engineer-Civil

1. BOQ & BOM Preparation:

2. Prepare detailed BOQ and BOM documents, including material take-offs, labor, and equipment requirements.

3. Ensure accuracy in quantity assessments, following project plans and specifications.

4. Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimation:

5. Perform Quantity Surveying duties, including detailed cost analysis, quantity take-offs, and rate calculations.

6. Create accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects to assist in bidding and budgeting processes.

7. Conduct rate analysis and validate cost estimates against benchmarks and market trends.

8. Project Budgeting & Cost Control:

9. Develop project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.

10. Provide cost-saving recommendations while maintaining project quality and safety.

11. Track and report on actual vs. estimated project costs, addressing any variances effectively.

12. Tendering and Contract Administration:

13. Support the tendering process, prepare contract documents, and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers.

14. Ensure contract compliance with project specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.

15. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

16. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

17. Conduct periodic audits and quality checks on materials, work progress, and completed works.

18. Stakeholder Collaboration:

19. Work closely with architects, project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive project execution.

20. Act as a liaison between the design and construction teams to resolve any quantity, cost, or material discrepancies.

21. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all phases of construction projects, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.

22. Develop and maintain project budgets, track actual costs against budget, and identify and mitigate potential cost overruns.
23. Conduct value engineering studies to optimize project costs and identify cost-effective alternatives.
24. Prepare BOQs, estimates, and tenders for civil works projects.
25. Conduct quantity surveying activities such as rate analysis, cost estimation, and cost control.
26. Analyse project costs to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
27. Develop detailed designs and specifications for construction projects using AutoCAD software.
28. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
29. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
30. Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
31. Assisted in the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of tender bids.
32. Administer contracts, monitor contract variations, and prepare valuation reports.
33. Monitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-saving measures.
34. Certify payments to contractors and suppliers based on work completed.
35. Manage claims and variations, ensuring
36. timely resolution and cost recovery.
37. Prepare final accounts, including cost reconciliations and final payment certificates.
38. Identify and mitigate potential cost risks throughout the project.
39. Utilize quantity surveying software to increase efficiency.
