Frontend Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual who loves to find and develop efficient, scalable, and thoughtful solutions to various technical and product challenges. As a team member responsible for building foundational services, you will have the opportunity to lead the team that builds the IAM Platform. The service is one of the key business enablers serving millions of customers daily. It is leveraged by 150+ desktop, mobile, web applications, and cloud services and a growing third -party developer ecosystem for managing user authentication, authorization, profile, and entitlements. You will be working on cutting -edge AWS technologies as you build the next generation of the Identity Platform. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support, etc.ResponsibilitiesWork effectively as a member of the self -organized agile team that builds, owns, and runs the web application and a cloud serviceOwn and lead the front -end development confirming the UX guidelinesBuild responsive UIs that work across multiple form factors (web, native desktop, mobiles, etc.)Contribute to all aspects of cloud service development, including front -end, backend, DevOps, and qualityAssist in the operation of the service, e.g. monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and troubleshootingWork closely with senior engineers, architects, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into elegant implementationsUse the current system behavior to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the scalability, reliability, usability, and security of the system RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer ScienceRelevant 4 -7 years of software engineering experienceExcellent analytics skills, troubleshooting skills, and ability to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system componentsDeep understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds, and experience with ES6/ES7 featuresExperience with Typescript and its benefits in building large -scale applications is highly desirableStrong grip on HTML, CSS & fundamentals, and experience building modern web and mobile applicationsProficient understanding of cross -browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issuesGood experience in testing frontend apps including unit and automation testingCI/CD using Jenkins experience is preferredUnderstanding of Accessibility and Web Standards. Experience with web technologies catering to accessibility standards (WCAG) and ARIA specificationsExperience with common front -end development tools such as Babel, Web -pack, NPM, etc.Expertise in developing web applications using React, Angular, , etc. frameworksExcellent understanding of basic principles of computer programmingGood experience with one or more of the programming languages C#, Go, Java, and Python will be an added advantageSolid understanding of software design and architectural patterns as well as a very good understanding of cloud design paradigmsProven ability to write maintainable and reusable codeExpert level experience in building services with high performance, and high availability at a high scaleWilling to continuously learn new technologies and driven to adopt best practicesShould be a Problem solver, smart, innovative, adaptable, inclusive, impactful, humble, courageous, accountable, pragmatic, and self -motivated individual who takes initiative and ownership of projectsFamiliarity with database technology such as MySQL and OracleStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsExperience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practicesExperience leveraging or contributing to open -source projects
