Key Responsibilities

* Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems using Python and Apache Airflow.

* Architect and optimize ETL pipelines, scheduling, and automation workflows.

* Work on database design, scaling, and performance tuning for large datasets.

* Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of backend applications.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, DevOps, Frontend, Product).

* Mentor and guide junior developers, enforcing coding and design best practices.

* Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring smooth operations.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of experience in Python backend development.

* Strong expertise in Apache Airflow for workflow management.

* Proven experience with database architecture, optimization, and scaling (SQL/NoSQL).

* Solid understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL) and microservices architecture.

* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

* Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for deployment.

* Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and scheduling.

* Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.

* Strong leadership skills with prior experience mentoring or leading a team.

Good to Have

* Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT).

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

* Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
