Puppet Engineer

Job Title: Puppet Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Puppet Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuration management and automation using Puppet.

As a Puppet Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure automation processes to ensure efficient and reliable system operations.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Puppet modules and manifests for configuration management. Automate the deployment and management of infrastructure using Puppet.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement automation solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Puppet configurations and deployments.

Monitor and optimize the performance of Puppet-managed systems.

Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in automation processes.

Provide technical guidance and support to team members on Puppet-related tasks.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Puppet Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Puppet DSL and Puppet Enterprise.

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Shell. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other configuration management tools such as Chef or Ansible. Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, or Google Cloud. Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Certification in Puppet or related technologies.
