About the Role
Are you a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in the Guidewire suite and a passion for solving complex business problems? We are looking for a Technical Architect Guidewire (PolicyCenter) to drive end-to-end solution design, lead development teams, and ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performing implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Lead the architectural design of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Create and maintain reusable architectural patterns and components.
- Identify and implement value-add configurations to drive reuse and productivity.
- Design integrations and ensure seamless interoperability with other enterprise systems.
Development & Configuration
- Configure Guidewire using GOSU, PCF, Data Model, Wizards, Workflow, Product Designer, and more.
- Create detailed technical designs and collaborate with developers on implementation.
- Lead POCs and solutioning for complex business problems.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor onshore and offshore teams of analysts and developers.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, PMs, and client architects to ensure technical alignment with business goals.
Quality, Governance & Best Practices
- Establish Guidewire SAAS best practices, quality standards, and coding guidelines.
- Review code and ensure compliance with Guidewire best practices.
- Develop accelerators, whitepapers, and other reusable components for project success.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Guidewire Architect role (PolicyCenter), with cloud implementation experience.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter (Configuration, Integration, Testing).
- 10+ years of experience in Java, Object-Oriented Programming, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
- Strong experience with Guidewire SaaS implementations.
Hands-on knowledge with:
Guidewire Cloud & Edge APIs
- GUnit, Jenkins, GIT/Subversion/TFS
- Application servers: JBoss, Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic
- XML, Code Scan/Quality tools
Preferred Certifications & Skills
- Guidewire ACE Certified (Configuration & Integration)
- Experience in PolicyCenter, Digital, Edge Services
- Familiarity with Apache servers, and performance tuning techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
