Job Description: Manages the transportation and distribution of goods across the supply chain. Responsible for delivering products to customers or internal destinations in a timely, cost-effective, and reliable manner. Key Responsibility
Areas (KRAs):Transport Management: Plan, manage, and monitor the movement of goods across the network.Fleet and 3PL Coordination: Oversee both in-house fleet and third-party logistics (3PL) service providers. Delivery Performance: Track and improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) metrics.
Route Optimization: Implement route planning and load optimization strategies to reduce logistics cost. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure regulatory compliance, proper shipping documentation, and proof of delivery. Customer Service Alignment: Act as a bridge between customer service and operations to resolve delivery-related issues quickly.
KPIs:On-Time Delivery Rate: % of deliveries made on time and complete. Freight Cost per Unit: Cost of transportation per unit shipped. Delivery Lead Time: Average time from dispatch to delivery.
Logistics Cost as % of Sales: Efficiency of logistics spending. Claims/Damages Ratio: % of deliveries resulting in claims or damages. Customer Delivery Complaints: Number and trend of logistics-related complaints.
