Position Title: Sales Coordinator
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Ramada Plaza, Guindy, Chennai.
Position Summary
The Sales Coordinator supports the Sales & Marketing team in driving revenue by handling administrative tasks, assisting with sales activities, coordinating client communications, preparing proposals, and ensuring smooth execution of sales processes. This role acts as a crucial link between clients, the sales team, and hotel operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Support & Administration
- Prepare sales proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and corporate rate agreements.
- Maintain and update client databases, sales reports, and revenue tracking systems .
- Assist with preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports.
- Coordinate sales appointments, site inspections, and client meetings.
- Handle internal communication between departments to ensure client requirements are met.
Client Relations
- Respond to sales inquiries through email, phone, or online platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist the sales team in following up on leads, confirmations, and contract finalizations.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Event & Group Coordination
- Support the planning and coordination of group bookings, events, and MICE business.
- Work closely with the banquets, front office, reservations, and F&B teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Track rooming lists, group blocks, and event schedules.
Marketing & Sales Activities
- Assist in creating sales presentations, promotional materials, and marketing collateral.
- Support digital marketing activities such as social media posts, newsletters, and campaign coordination .
- Participate in hotel sales calls, trade shows, and networking events when required.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in hotel sales, reservations, or front office roles .
- Fresh graduates with strong communication and organizational skills may also be considered.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with hotel sales or reservation systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
