Staff Software Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Software Architect with deep expertise in DevOps, Kubernetes, and Platform Architecture, especially within SaaS environments. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and platform solutions, driving automation, cloud-native architecture, and developer experience across our engineering teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for 12+ years of experience

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices
• Architect and evolve platform capabilities to support scalability, reliability, and developer productivity
• Define DevOps strategies including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing
• Build and maintain internal developer platforms (IDPs) to streamline onboarding, deployment, and observability
• Architect scalable deployment models across hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Evaluate and recommend tools for monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Ensure security best practices in containerized environments and DevOps workflows
• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps principles, Kubernetes usage, and platform engineering
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure and platform-related issues
• Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
• Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
• Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
• Participate in the Enterprise Architecture governance model.
• Support the development software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods.
• Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
• Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level
• Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
• Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.
• Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
• Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
• Able to lead early stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches, and integrate with their legacy tech investments.
• Build and maintain multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure with strong isolation and observability
• Integrate and optimize Slemicro OS for lightweight, secure containerized workloads
• Configure and manage Traefik as an edge router and ingress controller for dynamic routing and load balancing
• Leverage Spectro Cloud for Kubernetes lifecycle management, cluster provisioning, and policy enforcement

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) and Helm
• Proven experience designing and scaling internal platforms or PaaS solutions
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
• Expertise in Docker, Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, and observability in cloud-native environments
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience with SLE Micro OS in production-grade container environments
• Deep understanding of Traefik configuration, middleware, and routing strategies
• Familiarity with Spectro Cloud for cluster lifecycle and policy management

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

• Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
