Project Description: The international Luxoft team is seeking an experienced Android App Developer with Unity expertise to contribute to the development of an innovative in-vehicle infotainment system for the next generation of electric vehicles. This role focuses on working with the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) to develop 3D applications using Unity and Android Studio.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Unity and Android app development using Kotlin and Java. Knowledge of AOSP, AAOS, HVAC, Media, Car System UI, and Car Launcher is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Android 3D applications in Unity.
  • Integrate 3D objects into Unity provided by the Design Team.
  • Write scripts in C# for Unity to manage 3D object behaviors, animations, and interactions.
  • Optimize 3D performance.
  • Develop Android components using Kotlin/Java to handle platform-specific tasks, such as data handling and service integration.
  • Build Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate applications and frameworks into AAOS and AOSP environments.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of developed applications.
  • Document code and provide technical support as needed.

Mandatory Skills: Android, Kotlin, Unity, Unity Engine

  • Experience in Unity development.
  • Proficiency in Android app development using Kotlin and Java.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with AAOS and AOSP.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, Car System UI, Car Launcher and Media.
  • Experience with automotive infotainment systems.
  • Proficiency with modern development tools and practices.
  • Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
