Role Overview

The Junior Website Developer will be responsible for managing, updating, and improving the Earthraga website on Shopify. The role requires a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and basic SEO & analytics knowledge. You'll work closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure the website runs smoothly, loads quickly, and accurately tracks every user action.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Maintenance

  1. Maintain and update the Shopify website — ensuring smooth functionality, responsive design, and minimal downtime.
  2. Implement new sections, product pages, and design changes using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  3. Troubleshoot and fix bugs, layout issues, and integration errors.

SEO Optimization & Tagging

  1. Implement on-page SEO updates (meta tags, alt text, schema, redirects).
  2. Improve website speed, structure, and indexing to boost organic performance.
  3. Coordinate with marketing for keyword implementation and technical SEO improvements.

Analytics & Event Tracking

  1. Set up and manage event tracking for Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and GA4.
  2. Ensure all campaigns and user journeys are properly tracked for conversion reporting.
  3. Regularly audit tracking tags to maintain accurate data flow.

Performance & Integrations

  1. Manage integrations with third-party tools (email platforms, pop-ups, reviews, etc.).
  2. Collaborate with external partners or developers for major feature rollouts.
  3. Suggest improvements for UX, loading speed, and site conversion.

Requirements

  1. 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
  2. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
  3. Understanding of technical SEO, Google Tag Manager, and GA4.
  4. Experience implementing pixels, tracking codes, and conversion events.
  5. Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

  1. Familiarity with Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
  2. Knowledge of website A/B testing or CRO tools.
  3. Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
