Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.

• Identify, record, and track defects through to resolution in a timely manner.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure previously developed and tested software still performs after a change.
• Collaborate with development and project management teams to facilitate defect resolution.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as test plans, test scripts, and test case specifications.
• Participate in reviewing requirements and specifications to provide feedback on testability.
• Monitor the test environment to ensure proper functionality and availability for testing activities.
• Provide timely status reports on testing progress and defects identified.
• Advocate for best practices in software testing and quality assurance across teams.
• Assist in performing performance testing and evaluating the performance results.
• Stay current with industry best practices and technologies in testing methodologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the testing framework.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members and interns.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
• Proficient in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of database management and SQL queries.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
