A Chinese Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Chinese cuisine. Duties include:
- Designing and executing traditional and modern Chinese dishes.
- Managing kitchen operations, food preparation, and portion control.
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff.
- Monitoring inventory and ordering ingredients, especially specialty Chinese items.
- Adapting menus to customer preferences and seasonal availability.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques (stir-fry, steaming, roasting, braising, etc.).
- Expertise in regional cuisines (e.g., Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan).
- Creativity in menu development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
