Job Title: Oracle DBA & Apps DBA

Location: TechM GuruGram

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA & Apps DBA to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database management and administration, with a specific focus on Oracle Applications. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and may engage with Hadoop administration as a good to have skill.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Oracle databases and Oracle Applications environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, and migrations, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) deployments.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize performance.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide support for Oracle Applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong focus on Oracle Applications DBA.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery techniques.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and its services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience as a Hadoop Administrator.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Core DBA tasks.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Shell, Python).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration, with a focus on Oracle Applications.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
