What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented backend engineer to join our technology team. You will play a crucial role in our organization, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems to ensure seamless integration and communication between various software components. This position is vital for enhancing the functionality of our applications and services, enabling third-party developers, partners, and internal teams to efficiently engage with our systems. As a backend engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that align with the overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end execution of projects on the roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.
  • Write clean code to develop a functional backend service in Python.
  • Integrate and use a wide array of technologies, including GCP, AWS, and leading SaaS products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time.

Qualifications/ Required Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing backend software systems using technologies including Python, GCP, and third-party SaaS product APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python frameworks, including Flask.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful principles and API versioning.
  • Proficiency in database design and query optimization (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) standards.
