Role & responsibilities

  • Source tax/assessment data from multiple sources (calls, online search, email, historical records, tax authorities, and third-party databases).
  • Validate assessment data for accuracy and compliance with applicable property tax laws.
  • Set up tax lines in the Tax Line Setup system with complete and accurate details.
  • Input property tax information into Tax Certificates and related forms.
  • Process tax payments, verify payment status, handle reversals, and follow up with tax agencies.
  • Investigate and process tax refunds; update relevant systems accordingly.
  • Research delinquencies on loans/parcels/Tax IDs/Liens and initiate payment disbursements.
  • Maintain and review escrow accounts for corrections and compliance.
  • Monitor property status changes and update records periodically.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in U.S. mortgage property tax processing.
  • Strong knowledge of county, state, and national property tax laws.
  • Hands-on experience with real estate tax & escrow administration systems/platforms.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle both voice and non-voice processes.
  • Good communication skills for interaction with tax authorities and internal teams.
