  1. Surveillance & Monitoring

  2. Oversee real-time and post-trade surveillance of trading activities across equity, derivatives, commodities, and other instruments.

  3. Detect and act upon suspicious patterns, insider trading, front-running, circular trading, and market manipulation.
  4. Conduct in-depth investigations into unusual trades or alerts.

  5. Escalate material findings to senior management and ensure timely action or reporting.

  6. Regulatory Compliance

  7. Ensure full compliance with SEBI, NSE, BSE, MCX, and other regulatory and exchange guidelines.

  8. Timely submission of surveillance-related reports, disclosures, and clarifications to regulators.

  9. Policy & Framework Development

  10. Develop and update surveillance policies, SOPs, and escalation protocols aligned with changing regulatory norms.

  11. Ensure adequate controls and preventive mechanisms are built into systems and processes.

  12. Technology & Automation

  13. Lead implementation and enhancement of surveillance systems/tools.

  14. Drive automation and analytics for pattern recognition, exception monitoring, and dashboard-based alerts.

  15. Stakeholder Management

  16. Act as the primary point of contact with SEBI, stock exchanges, and auditors on surveillance-related matters.

  17. Collaborate with compliance, risk, legal, IT, and operations teams to drive cohesive action.

  18. Training & Awareness: Conduct regular awareness and training sessions for dealers, relationship managers, and branch teams on prohibited practices and surveillance triggers.

  19. Audit & Review

  20. Support internal and external audits related to surveillance.

  21. Close gaps identified through audits or regulatory reviews
