The Role:
We are seeking an analytical and results-driven Ecommerce Specialist with a proven track record of success specifically within the Home & Decor category. You will be the owner of our marketplace presence on key platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and others. You are not just a seller; you are an expert who understands the intricacies, challenges, and algorithms of these portals. Your primary mission will be to develop and execute strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and brand equity.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Management & Optimization:
- Serve as the primary expert for our accounts on Amazon, Flipkart, and other relevant ecommerce portals.
- Manage and optimize product listings, including content (titles, bullet points, descriptions), imagery, A+ Content, and keywords to ensure high visibility and conversion.
- Implement and manage a robust inventory feed to prevent stock-outs and ensure healthy inventory levels across platforms.
Sales & Profitability Growth:
- Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and profit targets.
- Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth within the Home & Decor space.
- Manage and optimize PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display) to achieve a strong return on ad spend (ROAS).
Category-Specific Expertise (Home & Decor):
- Leverage your deep understanding of the Home & Decor category to tailor strategies around high-AOV (Average Order Value) products, visual merchandising, and seasonal trends.
- Analyze competitor activity and market trends specific to home furnishings, decor, and related segments to keep our brand ahead of the curve.
- Understand the unique challenges of the category (e.g., shipping fragile items, high return rate concerns, visual appeal) and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
Operations & Customer Experience:
- Work closely with the operations and logistics team to ensure smooth order fulfillment and maintain high seller ratings.
- Monitor and manage customer reviews, ratings, and Q&A sessions proactively to protect and enhance our brand reputation.
- Develop strategies to minimize returns and handle customer service inquiries related to marketplace orders effectively.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, advertising efficiency, marketplace health, and competitor analysis.
- Translate data into actionable insights and present recommendations to management.
Qualifications & Must-Haves:
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience directly managing and growing sales on major ecommerce marketplaces, specifically Amazon and Flipkart.
- Proven experience in the Home & Decor category is mandatory. You must be able to speak to the specific nuances, trends, and customer behaviors in this space.
- Deep, practical understanding of marketplace systems: Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central and Flipkart Seller Hub.
- Demonstrable experience in running profitable ecommerce operations, with a focus on PPC management, SEO, and inventory planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using data tools (e.g., Amazon Analytics, Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar) to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- A problem-solver mindset with the ability to navigate the unique challenges of online marketplaces.
