Backend Operations Executive

Job Summary:

The Backend Operations Executive will be responsible for managing the end-to-end

processing of personal loan applications for multiple partner banks and NBFCs. The role

involves handling documentation, logging applications on lender portals, coordinating with

relationship managers, tracking application progress, and ensuring timely disbursals. The

candidate should have strong coordination, documentation, and follow-up skills, with a keen eye

for accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Document Collection & Verification

● Coordinate with the Point of Contact (POC), customers, and sales team to collect all

documents required for personal loan applications across multiple banks and NBFCs.

● Review KYC, income proofs, bank statements, and other documents for accuracy and

completeness.

● Collect any missing or additional documents required to complete the application.

● Maintain proper record keeping of all soft and hard copies of documents.

● Escalate any discrepancies or mismatches in documents to management immediately.

2. Application Login & Eligibility Check

● Perform a preliminary eligibility check based on income, bureau score, and existing

obligations before forwarding or logging in applications.

● Login customer applications on respective lender portals (banks/NBFCs) and upload the

required data and documents accurately.

● Ensure all lender-specific requirements are met during the login stage to avoid

rejections.

3. Coordination with Banks/NBFCs

● Liaise with relationship managers and operations teams of partner banks and NBFCs to

track the status of applications.

● Follow up regularly to ensure movement of applications through verification, credit

review, and approval stages.

● Send documents or clarifications as requested by lenders to avoid process delays.

● Build and maintain strong professional relationships with lender partners for smooth

coordination.

4. Disbursal & Post-Disbursal Handling

● Coordinate with lenders for final disbursal documentation and agreement execution once

approval is received.

● Track disbursal timelines and ensure prompt release of funds to customers.

5. Reporting & MIS Management

● Update loan application status and remarks in the CRM or tracking sheets on a daily

basis.

● Prepare daily and weekly MIS reports reflecting login, approval, rejection, and disbursal

data.

● Share periodic performance and pipeline reports with management for review.

6. Compliance & Quality Control

● Maintain data confidentiality and ensure all customer information is handled securely.

● Ensure adherence to internal policies, lender guidelines, and RBI/NBFC compliance

norms.

● Adhere to defined turnaround times (TATs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for

every stage of the loan process.

7. Process Improvement & Team Support

● Identify process gaps or recurring issues and suggest improvements for faster

processing and better coordination.

● Support the sales and telecalling teams by providing timely updates and feedback on

cases.

● Collaborate with internal teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure end-to-end process

completion.

Skills & Qualifications:

● Graduate (Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field preferred).

● 1–3 years of experience in backend loan operations, preferably in a DSA, Bank, or

NBFC setup.

● Strong understanding of personal loan processes, documentation, and eligibility criteria.

● Excellent communication and coordination skills.

● Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and CRM/loan tracking tools.

● High attention to detail, organizational ability, and multitasking skills.

● Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple lender relationships simultaneously.
