Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with strong expertise in Database Development and Cloud Migration. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in MSSQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, and should have worked on database migration projects involving on-premises to cloud or cross-platform transitions.

Role & responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex MSSQL / PLSQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
  • Migrate and refactor legacy Oracle PL/SQL code to PostgreSQL.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance across large datasets.
  • Implement data pipelines and ETL processes using cloud-native tools.
  • Collaborate with application developers and architects to integrate database logic.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of database components.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production database issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required Technical Skills

  • Database Expertise: Strong experience in MSSQL/PLSQL and PostgreSQL (mandatory).
  • Cloud Migration: Hands-on experience in database migration to any cloud environment (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.).
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Proficient in query tuning, indexing, and data modeling.
  • Scripting & Tools: Familiar with migration tools such as DMS, Ora2Pg, pg_dump, or equivalent.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git or other versioning systems.
  • Bonus Skills (Preferred): Exposure to ETL processes, CI/CD pipelines, or containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
