Role & responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze medical records in coding services related to ancillary healthcare departments, such as radiology, laboratory, pathology, and physical therapy.
  • Review medical documentation and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes for billing and reimbursement purposes
  • Ensure coding accuracy, verifying medical necessity, and maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

Preferred candidate profile:

  • AAPC or AHIMA Certified Coder (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS-P, etc.)
  • Proficiency in ICD-9-CM coding (knowledge of ICD-10-CM is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, Radiology, Pathology, Occupational therapy and disease processes.
  • Familiarity with official Ancillary coding and chart review guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet client goals and evolving requirements
