  1. Person must have a strong experience in Production planning and Control function in a good Engineering industry
  2. Must be a Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical engineer (Industrial eng. preferable)
  3. Ability to read and understand the drawings
  4. Must be able to work in SAP and Project schedule
  5. Should be aware about the various tools of production planning and control
  6. Should be able to do the Capacity planning, Cost center planning etc.
  7. Able to understand the shop requirement and release the production schedule
  8. Responsible for maintaining the OTD by arranging the material
  9. Know how about the costing of the product and equipment is mandatory
  10. Must be able to understand the product
  11. Should be a strong coordinator between Marketing, Design, Purchase and production
  12. Should be able to provide Planned vs actual status and various required MIS
  13. Should be aware about the processes, Routing techniques, Production order etc.
  14. Inventory utilization and control
  15. Should be deep involved into Production and product development, Vendor involvement etc.
  16. Must be involved into development of new processes and toolings
  17. Preference to a person who has a know how about the Lean techniques
