Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic **Placement Officer** to join our team. The Placement Officer will be responsible for managing and enhancing our job placement initiatives by developing strong relationships with employers, guiding students through their job search, and ensuring successful placements.
Key Responsibilities:
Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with employers and industries to create job opportunities for students.
Student Counseling: Provide career counseling and job search assistance to students, including resume building, interview preparation, and career planning.
Placement Coordination: Facilitate the placement process by matching students with suitable job opportunities, conducting interviews, and coordinating between students and employers.
Data Management: Maintain accurate placement records, including tracking student progress, employer contacts, and placement outcomes.
Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and labor market needs to align student skills with employer expectations.
Workshops & Training: Organize placement drives, workshops, and training programs to enhance employability skills among students.
Alumni Network: Build and maintain a strong alumni network for mentorship, job leads, and career support.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in placement coordination, career counseling, or recruitment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to network effectively.
Proven track record of building relationships with employers and securing job placements.
Familiarity with resume development, interview techniques, and job market trends.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and career management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in working with skill development programs or educational institutions.
Knowledge of local and national job markets.
Ability to organize and manage large-scale placement events.
