Role & responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Performance

  • Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitor network performance using tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) and resolve connectivity or latency issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and ISPs to ensure reliable and optimized network operations.

Network Security & Compliance

  • Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and secure remote access.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, audits, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Define and enforce policies for access control, data protection, and information security compliance (ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and documentation of security events.

Governance & Team Leadership

  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare network and security performance reports for management.
  • Lead, mentor, and upskill the network and security operations team.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and ensure disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7-10 years' experience in network administration and cybersecurity.

Technical Skills:

  • LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS
  • Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Cloud & Hybrid Network Security (AWS/Azure)
  • Risk Management, DR & BCP
