The Data Platform team's mission is to engineer and deliver self-service, performant and resilient data service products.

The Cloud Infrastructure engineer will analyze, design, develop and maintain Database Platform Engineering software in a Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment using Terraform, Ansible, Python & GitHub.

The Cloud Infrastructure engineer will be in the role of Oracle cloud OCI subject matter expert. Candidate will work within a global team to develop and maintain automations that automate infrastructure platform products where required.

Responsibilities Include

• Managing pipelines using Terraform scripts to deploy resources in OCI.
• Provide engineering analysis and support for creating OCI landing zones for Oracle and public cloud environments
• Provide Oracle Cloud Administration in Cloud Landing Zone setup, OCI Service enablement and Oracle on-premises DBA work
• Maintain and update existing automations of the platform engineering products
• Provide support to users that are using existing automation tools
• Understand the needs of automation and put forth options for solutions.
• Working with production management and cloud teams to analyze and provide solutions for database related automation and solution

Qualifications / Skills

• Overall IT Experience of 13+ years, with 8+ years in Cloud & Infrastructure Computing or Software Development or Database Engineering & 3+ years in People Management role.
• 3 to 4 years' experience with Exadata and Oracle will be an added advantage. 2+ years' experience with OCI.
• Expertise with Exadata and OCI with exposure to Multi clouds
• Experience in development and management of CI/CD pipelines using GIT repositories and Oracle DevOps for Infrastructure-as-Code deployments
• Good understanding of design patterns and architecture of oracle databases
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to be open to discussion of potential options.
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle including development, testing and deployment of all application modules
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced development environment

Core/Must Have Skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OCI Landing Zone, Oracle & Public Cloud Environnements
• Terraform to deploy resources on OCI, Ansible for Configuration Changes
• OCI Administration, OCI IAM, OCI Policies OCI Migration
• CI/CD – Azure DevOps, Harness, TFE, GIT Repos.
• Oracle Database Management
• Exadata & Exadata Migration to Oracle
• Excellent Leadership Skills & Team Management Skills
• Coding – Bash, Shell Scripting, SQL, Unix

Good To Have Skills

• OCI Certifications
• Devops Certification.
• Oracle core DBA knowledge.
• Terraform Enterprise

Work Schedule

• Mandatory Work From Office (2 – 3 days)
• Shift Timing - 2 to 11 PM IST
• Location – Bangalore or Hyderabad only
