Role & responsibilities

The Design Manager oversees the end-to-end design process, leads a team of designers, and ensures that creative outputs align with business goals, user needs, and brand identitywhile maintaining quality, consistency, and timeliness across projects.

  • Lead major design initiatives end-to-endfrom research and ideation to prototyping and final execution.
  • Define and evolve design systems, reusable components, and maintain consistency across products, especially using tools
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and other stakeholders to align design strategy and deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams and external consultants—architects, engineers, construction—to resolve design challenges and maintain execution fidelity on-site.
  • Advocate for and implement design excellence—including refining process, championing standards, and incorporating industry best practices.
  • Drive design strategy and vision—setting the bar for creative quality, refreshing direction, or spearheading innovation.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert: facilitate workshops, present design rationale to stakeholders, and act as a cultural design influencer.
  • Act as the central liaison: communicate design implications to clients, Society members or regulatory bodies, and associated stakeholders

Preferred candidate profile

10 – 12 years of Experience in design

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; Master's preferred
