Engineering Manager, Cloud SQL

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in administering Postgres or other databases.
• 3 years of experience in people management.
• Experience in designing and developing performance intensive systems with multithreading and synchronization.
• Experience in building managed services in database or storage.

• Experience with complex database infrastructure design.
• Experience in system design to build scalable infrastructure.
• Experience in coding such as C++ or Go for high-performance systems development.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and database internals.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Cloud SQL is part of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) database area that focuses on Relational Databases (RDBMS) a multi-billion dollar business opportunity and growth accelerator for other GCP products. One of the fastest growing product lines under Cloud SQL is CloudSQL Postgres. This product line will sustain the business growth by supporting key features around manageability, expanded extension footprint, and security features.
