Software Tester

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester with strong skills in Manual Testing, API Testing, Postman, JIRA, and basic Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to collaborate effectively with development and project management teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate request/response functionality.
- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and project managers to understand requirements and test objectives.
- Participate in project management activities such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Assist in creating and maintaining automation test scripts where applicable.
- Prepare detailed test reports and documentation for internal and client review.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Must have upto 02 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual & automation testing both methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with API Testing and tools like Postman.
- Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and project coordination.
- Good understanding of Automation Testing tools (e.g., Selenium, or similar).
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in database testing (SQL).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).
