Role Overview

We are seeking a
Mechanical Design Engineer
with strong expertise in
SolidWorks
,
Fusion 360
, and complex mechanical system design. This role involves developing high-precision mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with cross-functional teams, and supporting manufacturing with robust documentation and GD&T standards. The ideal candidate should be passionate about engineering, eager to solve real-world problems, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex mechanical components, assemblies, and integrated systems.
  • Use
    SolidWorks
    and
    Fusion 360
    for 3D modeling, simulations, and detailed 2D drawings.
  • Apply
    Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
    principles to ensure manufacturability and functional fit.
  • Perform mechanical calculations and simulations (e.g., stress, dynamics, kinematics).
  • Create detailed engineering documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specs.
  • Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and manufacturing teams to develop end-to-end product solutions.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support prototype fabrication and testing; iterate designs based on test results.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years
    of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in product development or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in
    SolidWorks
    and
    Fusion 360
    (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with
    GD&T
    , tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.
  • Experience in designing
    complex mechanical systems
    involving moving parts, linkages, or mechanisms.
  • Strong fundamentals in
    mechanics, kinematics, dynamics
    , and material selection.
  • Experience in interacting with vendors and manufacturing partners for prototype and production builds.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes like CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, etc.
  • Experience in design validation techniques such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or motion analysis.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and additive manufacturing.
