As part of our efforts to enhance comprehensive primary care services, we are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to serve as Program Officer / Senior Program Officer for Gorakhpur Division, Utta Pradesh. The primary objective of this position is to provide techno-managerial support in the design, implementation and monitoring of cardiovascular health interventions, focused on improving control of hypertension and diabetes at the primary health care level in Gorakhpur division. The PO/SPO will work closely with the Divisional AD, CMOs, and District NCD Nodal Officers in Gorakhpur division to implement strategies for improving screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for individuals with hypertension and diabetes at the primary health care level.

• MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS is preferred with an essential master's in public health (MPH), diploma in public health (DPH) or post-graduation in health management
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience of working with government programs and systems for large scale public health programs, especially health systems strengthening interventions
• Technical knowledge and experience in health programs in the high focus states of India
• Knowledge of latest GoI NP-NCD and CPHC program guidelines, program management structures, Program Implementation plan (PIP) process.
• Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government policies / strategies—particularly Ayushman Bharat and National Health Mission
• Demonstrable experience and competency in managing diverse objectives with government and multiple stakeholders.

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Direct experience of independently liaising with government health functionaries, state level administrators and other development partners.
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic documents such as assessment reports, training materials, program reports etc.
• Technically proficient with up-to-date knowledge and skills required for the assigned task.
• Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
• Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 60% of his/her time
