Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist/Developer to design, configure, and enhance ITAM solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), working knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM), and hands-on experience with integrations and CMDB management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM modules, with a primary focus on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and preferred exposure to Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Develop and customize applications using JavaScript and ServiceNow server/client-side scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, etc.).
- Ensure asset lifecycle processes align with ITIL best practices, from procurement to retirement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and support end-to-end data flows.
- Maintain and enhance the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and relationships across asset classes.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support platform upgrades.
- Prepare documentation, technical specifications, and process workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM modules, specifically HAM (mandatory) and SAM (preferred).
- Proficiency in JavaScript and strong understanding of ServiceNow scripting capabilities.
- Good understanding of ITIL practices and asset lifecycle management frameworks.
- Experience with integrations, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Working knowledge of CMDB structure, data models, and dependencies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
