Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Hardware Engineer to manage and support the school's IT infrastructure and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and effective coordination with academic and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other hardware devices.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Support users with hardware and connectivity-related queries.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment, accessories, and software licenses.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and warranty claims.
  • Assist in setting up IT infrastructure for school events, training sessions, and examinations.
  • Ensure data security, proper backups, and regular system updates.
  • Document IT procedures, maintenance logs, and issue resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement upgrades and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Perform any additional IT-related duties assigned by the department head.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT hardware maintenance or support (freshers with the right technical skills may also apply).
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and basic troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Proactive, service-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Work Timings

Monday to Friday | 7:40 AM – 3:45 PM (Occasional weekends or extended hours may be required based on school needs.)
