  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement infrastructure systems that are production-ready, secure, and capable of operating at large, multi-tenant scale.
  • Optimize system performance to meet requirements for low latency and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams (e.g., Google Play Store, Google Maps, Google Search) to understand requirements and deliver the infrastructure necessary to power their user-facing products
  • Ensure the security and isolation of multi-tenant environments handling sensitive data and high-volume traffic.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (Tier 1/2) to provide operational support, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues, maintaining system availability.
