We are seeking a Senior Visual Designer who combines strong creative vision with project ownership and team leadership. In this role, you will help shape the aesthetic and strategic direction of end-to-end customer experiences. You will lead visual design initiatives, collaborate closely with internal partners, and mentor other designers to raise the creative bar across the board.

You will not only deliver compelling design solutions but also help initiate new ideas, drive concept development, and guide projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead visual design projects from strategy and concept development through execution and delivery.
  • Define and maintain visual design standards that enhance the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Please quickly identify opportunities for new projects, creative directions, and improvements to experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including creative, copy, product, and leadership—to develop aligned and impactful solutions.
  • Provide guidance, critique, and mentorship to other designers; help elevate the team's overall creative output.
  • Present creative concepts and design rationale confidently to stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
  • Ensure consistency across all brand and communication touchpoints.
  • Manage design timelines, deliverables, and priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Apply accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive design outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a visual designer in a startup or creative agency setting.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of brand, UI/UX, and visual design work.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, or equivalents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Creative Direction, Visual Communication, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead creative projects and guide designers to deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate ideas into clear visual narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design strategy and decisions clearly.
  • Deep awareness of current design trends, cultural relevance, and user-centered design principles.
  • Familiarity with design accessibility standards and best practices.
  • A willingness to be hands-on, collaborative, and proactive in problem-solving.
