Role & responsibilities

1. Production & Material Planning

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in SAP PP.
  • Plan and release production orders in alignment with customer demand, capacity, and resource availability.
  • Ensure timely material availability through effective use of SAP MRP runs and exception monitoring.

2. Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels, safety stocks, and lead times in SAP MM.
  • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and coordination with procurement and production teams.
  • Track and analyze inventory accuracy and support cycle counting activities.

3. MRP & SAP System Management

  • Execute and analyze MRP runs to identify material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Resolve MRP exceptions by coordinating with procurement, production, and warehouse teams.
  • Work with IT/SAP support to enhance system utilization and troubleshoot SAP PP/MM-related issues.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, lookups, macros, Power Query) for reporting and decision support.
  • Prepare reports on capacity utilization, production adherence, inventory status, and planning KPIs.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management for process improvement.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse, quality, and sales teams to ensure smooth material flow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by providing accurate demand and supply planning inputs.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to resolve material availability issues.

Preferred candidate profile

A Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience in RM planning, inventory control

Hand on experience in SAP

Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
